Watch This Dramatic Time-Lapse of Typhoon Goni Bearing Down on Japan
A Japanese satellite catches a powerful storm in action.
Typhoon Goni is weakening now, but over the last week the Pacific storm has struck the Philippines and western Japan, leaving more than 20 dead and millions of dollars of damage in its path.
The time-lapse scene here, showing the storm bearing down on Japan early Tuesday, was captured by the new Himawari-8 satellite.
