From the Smithsonian Museums
Marina Pacini retired from the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art in November of 2019 after eighteen years as chief curator and curator of American, Modern, and Contemporary art. Ironically, after the Marisol project she curated and wrote the catalog for “Red Grooms: Traveling Correspondent” for the museum’s centennial in 2016 once again relying on the John Bernard Myers interview with Grooms and Marisol. She continues to work as an independent curator and author from Memphis.
