From the Smithsonian Museums
David Furth is the Emeritus Collections Manager and a Research Associate in the Smithsonian’s Department of Entomology. He held similar positions at Harvard’s Museum of Comparative Zoology and Yale’s Peabody Museum of Natural History. His research involved the systematics and biology of Leaf Beetles. He is also an expert of collections management. He has a Ph.D. (Cornell University), M.S. Ohio State University, and B.A. (Miami University). He has conducted fieldwork and museum work on 6 continents with recent concentration in Mexico and Costa Rica.
The Middle East’s first comprehensive natural history museum recently opened with help from the Smithsonian.
