Although the new Cultural Center was established in late 2019, our efforts were thwarted by COVID. Our goal is to bring a variety of cultural events and activities to northern Broward County. We have made great strides since then in establishing some interesting programs such as History at Happy Hour where knowledgeable speakers relate and discuss past events that are significant to the area, Love4Art at Butler, an art and music appreciation series of classes geared to middle school students in which they learn the art of a certain artist using watercolors, acrylics and pastels along with learning about the music of a certain composer of the same era. Our International Movie Night features a movie and the food and beverage of a chosen country along with a speaker who relates their experiences of living in that country. We also sponsor Intergenerational Art Classes and are about to start a series of outdoor music concerts featuring a variety of musical groups taking place on our outdoor patio. We are home to the South Florida Chamber Ensemble and several civic organizations and book clubs meet in our facility on a regular basis.

Exhibits

We will be featuring the Music of the 60's and 70' in our Exhibition Hall and the works of ceramic artist Ellen Cohen Berman will be on display in our Art Gallery.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
