The amazing L.C.Bates Museum is an early 1900's natural history and cultural museum that retains its early exhibition presentation. Come visit a cabinet of curiosities with animal and bird dioramas. The museum is on the campus of Good Will-Hinckley. There are also trail to walk.

We require people to wear a mask when in the museum building.

Exhibits

The L. C. Bates Museum exhibits collections of mammals, ornithology, insects, fish, archaeology, art and regional history. We will offer a self-guided tour of our Maine bird dioramas.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
