I'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden—wouldn't you? But the question is: what do octopi eat that would merit them having a garden in the first place? Tuesday, March 17: Van Gogh: Brush With Genius
Come and enjoy the DC premiere of this new IMAX extravaganza that details the life of artist Vincent Van Gogh. Filmed on location in France and the Netherlands, the lush landscapes that inspired this troubled artist are brought to life in the biggest film format the entertainment industry has to offer. Wednesday, March 18: Artist Shorts
If you're an artist, one disadvantage of having your work displayed in a gallery is that you're never around to talk more about your work and convey to your audience more information than what can be contained by an itty bitty placard. On continuous view at the American Art Museum is Artist Shorts, a series of videotaped interviews with artists that will (hopefully) expand your knowledge and appreciation of their contributions to the world of art. Thursday, March 19: Afrique! with Balafon: Francophonie Children's Program

Friday, March 20: March Madness of the Mind: Demonstrations
