The theme for Smithsonian's 40th anniversary issue is "40 Things You Need to Know About the Next 40 Years" -- and accordingly, our web staff was curious what the Smithsonian would look like in 2050. The future National Museum of African-American History and Culture will have long been built and other unknown changes may be in store for the Mall as well. But what will fill the museums' collections? The consensus? Lady Gaga and more, according to the visitors we interviewed.
