Friday, September 10: Flight of the Red Balloon
Inspired by the 1956 fantasy film The Red Balloon, Flight of the Red Balloon by Taiwanese director Hsiao-hsien Hou tells the story of a tempestuous single mother who hires a Chinese filmmaker to serve as her son’s nanny. Saturday, September 11: The Gullah Islamic Connection

Sunday, September 12: Steinway Series: Quynh Nguyen and Matthew Reichart
Love a piano? Then come on out to the American Art Museum and enjoy a performance by Quynh Nguyen, who knows a fine way to treat a Steinway—the museum's own model D concert grand. Accompanied by violinist Matthew Reichert, the duo will perform a concert of three masterworks by Beethoven, Brahms and Franck. Free. American Art Museum, 3:00-5:00 PM.
