Arkansas - Music and Performing Arts
The blues are alive and well at the Delta Cultural Center in Helena, Arkansas. The museum is dedicated to the history of the Arkansas Delta, specifically the rich culture of the delta blues that thrived in eastern Arkansas along the Mississippi River.
For a song of a different tune, visitors should make the trip to the Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View. American mountain music made on the fiddle, banjo and other acoustic instruments can be heard from sun up to sun down at impromptu concerts. Those who are musically inclined can also try their hand at tapping out an old-time tune on a dulcimer, autoharp or fiddle.
