Wiarton, Ontario, Canada
A small town on Colpoy Bay
Wiarton is a small town on Colpoy Bay (part of Georgian Bay). A small town that has a big heart and beautiful scenery. The blue of the bay against the Niagara Escarpment (colours ranging from white to red to gray to black). Wiarton's downtown is a vibrant, friendly place. It has an incredible selection of stores and services (including gift, magazine, florist, jewelry, clothing, pharmacy, grocery, thrift, shoe, massage therapy, restaurants and car repair). My favourite sports here are hiking, snowshoeing and kayaking. The Bruce Trail, which runs through town, is a first class hiking trail. Wiarton celebrates all year. In February Wiarton Willie makes his weather forecast. In July we celebrate Canada Day. Through the year there are fairs, parades, concerts, bicycle races, marathons and community suppers. No matter what season, there is something to do and see in Wiarton and area.
