2014 Smithsonian In Motion Video Contest Editor's Pick - Jellyfish Lake

Jellyfish lake is a marine lake located on Eil Malk island in Palau, an island country located in the western Pacific Ocean which is part of the larger island group of Micronesia. Jellyfish Lake is around 12,000 years old and is home to millions of golden jellyfish. The jellyfish migrate twice daily in order to expose the algae, symbiotically living in their body, to the sun. This then allows the algae to process the sunlight to produce sugar that nourishes the jellyfish.
