Danger Flight (1939)
"Tailspin Tommy" first appeared as a comic strip shortly after Charles Lindberghs epic 1927 flight across the Atlantic. Tommy was such a popular character that he soon branched out into books, radio, and several different movies. While the original serial was released in 1934, this one-hour short shows the youthful aviator was still popular with audiences in 1939. Actor John Trent made at least four Tailspin Tommy movies; here he shares the screen with Marjorie Reynolds, who would later star in the television comedy The Life of Riley.
